Professional race car driver Jenson Button is hoping to take a victory lap when the offers for his Brentwood home start to roll in. He’s listed the flip-worthy residence for $6.85 million.

The Formula One champion purchased the property just last year for $6.1 million, so he might be set to make a fairly speedy return on his investment. The traditional Cape Cod-style residence stretches to 4,800 square feet, with five bedrooms and 5.5 baths.

The shared living spaces present a pleasingly open concept for a traditional-style home, with the family room, the day room, and the kitchen all transitioning effortlessly into one another. A full wall of glass pocketing doors lead to the pool and patio from the family room; the glass expanse is broad, allowing for a large indoor/outdoor living area when weather is favorable.

As it stands, the home presents a comfortingly familiar living style. Soothing cool tones balance out the warmth of the floors, and a prominent living-room fireplace puts the finishing touch on an appealing Northeast feel.

The backyard is a private retreat, and features a flagstone patio, turf lawn, wet bar, fire pit, and a swimming pool with a spa.

Following 18 years of driving the circuit, Button stepped down from Formula One in 2017 with a championship title in hand.
