Broadway producer Terry Allen Kramer has listed La Follia, her waterfront-to-waterfront estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Ms. Kramer is asking $135 million for the property, which is located about a half mile from Mar-a-Lago along famed ‘billionaire’s row’.

Unlike many of the other mansions on the ’row, La Follia encompasses property on both sides of the Boulevard, with beachfront beyond the sprawling lawn at the front of the house. Across the asphalt is a goodly stretch of palm-bordered lawn, with a dock extending into the lake.

The house dates to 1995. It’s a dazzler, a genuine trophy, $135 million worth; it’s tough to find a room that doesn’t have something special to offer. Inlaid marble floors, crown moldings with exquisite detail, coffered ceilings, and plentiful custom millwork are a few of the highlights. The house shows off a great deal of unusually fine craftsmanship.

The property also features substantially sized interior living spaces, with just over 37,500 square feet between the main house and guest spaces, fourteen bedrooms, and eighteen full or partial baths all told. The main house is designed after a Renaissance villa, and features abundant limestone, interior colonnades, plentiful wood paneling, and buttressed ceilings. Standout spaces include the breakfast room, surrounded by glass and white lattice-covered green walls, and the library, with its figured wood paneling and stunning fireplace.

The property exterior works in a porte-cochere, courtyards, fountains, a pool and cabana, gardens, and a hobbyist tropical orchard.

Kramer’s many theatrical production credits include the 2005 revival of ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’; the critically-acclaimed production removed the caricatures from the characters, but still left room for Kathleen Turner to be a particularly vituperative Martha.
