Actress and singer Katharine McPhee is looking for a renter for her Los Angeles home for $6,900 a month.

McPhee—who is engaged to musician and producer David Foster—puchased the charming Toluca Lake residence for $1.4 million in 2015. Originally, she did try to sell the 2,039-square-foot house, and listed it in August 2017 for $1.5 million. Now it’s a year later, and the rental market appears to be a better short-term solution.

The house is tucked privately behind gates; it dates to 1945, and features an exterior loaded with brick. Inside, the three-bedroom, two-bath charmer has been renovated recently, and now features a curiously engaging series of stylistic accents that reference rustic, cottage, and mid-century modern.

One of the standout spaces is the luxurious kitchen with its tall ceilings, gray cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, white brick wall, and statement fireplace. The master suite also received especial attention; soaring ceilings, a walk-in closet, and an updated gray-tiled bathroom with a free-standing tub are highlights of the space.

The property at-large is accessible via several sets of French doors. A swimming pool and spa, and a brick patio space help fill out the lot.
