Entertainment industry creative Oren Peli recently listed his expansive Los Angeles-area home for $5.995 million.

The park-like compound is located in Westlake Village. It’s a more than three-acre property, with a grandiose layout; the swimming pool complex includes a secreted lagoon-style pool with a grotto, water slides, and smaller pools, and the abundance of stone and many columns contribute to the property’s decadent feel.

The 1993-built Mediterranean main house is a six-bedroom main residence with tiled fireplaces and Palladian-style windows; a fairly remarkable detail is the home’s Brazilian rosewood floors. It is designed as a comprehensive luxury house, and features a playroom, an advanced home movie theater, a limo bay in the garage, and an elevator. Shared living spaces include a vaulted-ceiling great room and catering-friendly kitchen.

The pool house and casita offer potential for guest accommodations, and help bring the total living space to nearly 10,000 square feet. The desert-flora landscaping is quite lovely.

Peli is a writer, director, and producer best known for his work on the “Paranormal Activity” franchise.
