Financier Anthony Scaramucci—who held the position of White House Communications Director for the current administration in July of last year—has listed a getaway estate in the Hamptons for a shade less than $4 million.
The house dates to the middle of the 2000’s, but has seen revisions in the recent past. It measures about 4,000 square feet, with four bedrooms, four baths and one half-bath in its three floors of living space. It is located in Southampton, and situated a short walk from the ocean.
The house fits into the Hamptons aesthetic well, despite looking newly minted. The exterior is distinguished by cedar shingles, simple whitewashed balustrades, brick, and a prominent dormer illuminating the master suite.
The home’s interiors are simple and modern. Antiqued wide-plank hardwood in the shared living spaces is accentuated by the occasional period-style fixture, with recessed LED lighting throughout. The kitchen blends cottagey insouciance with high-end stainless, and the dining room is pleasingly light-filled, with abundant glass and a set of French doors opening onto a deck and outdoor dining area. Simple, and classic.
The bedrooms and baths follow suit. White cabinetry and tile, slatted doors, and a traditional tub articulate the master bath. A dressing room and walk-in closet augment the suite, and the master bedroom features a private terrace.
The lot extends to a third of an acre, but packs in a sports court, a pool, a slate patio, and understated landscaping into the available space without looking busy.
Scaramucci founded Skybridge Capital in 2005. After Skybridge snagged the rights to PBS program ‘Wall Street Week’ in 2014, he co-hosted the program, with his tenure ending in 2016.
