The former Los Angeles-area home of actress Ursula Andress recently sold for $3.1 million.
Andress—who is best known for playing the part of Honey Ryder, the prototypical Bond girl in ‘Dr. No’—purchased the Beverly Hills Post Office area home for $965,000 in 1991. After she sold the contemporary residence for $2.28 million last year, it looks like the home briefly returned to the market for a flip.
Built in 1960, the sleek white residence holds three bedrooms and three baths. Inside, the 2,747-square-foot home boasts a minimalist aesthetic with bright white walls, high ceilings, and large windows.
From the spacious living room to the family room with its wet bar, the updated home maintains some of its original charm, with parquet hardwood and terra-cotta tile floors, a pair of fireplaces, and sliding glass. Thatched ceilings date the 1960-built home charmingly and quaintly, giving it a soft, warm-weather island feel.
The property exterior features SoCal standard equipment: a patio and swimming pool, and privacy-oriented landscaping bordering on tropical.
An interesting fact: Andress helped design the white bikini she wore in ‘Dr No.’ And, another? The fetching swimsuit sold at auction in 2001, fetching well north of $50K.
