Reality TV producer JD Roth recently moved on from his Manhattan Beach home. Mr. Roth sold the house for $3.9 million.
Built this year, the “Biggest Loser” co-creator’s former Los Angeles-area Cape Cod-style residence features a light and airy design scheme and an open-concept floor plan. Matte-finished wood floors, wood paneling, crown moldings, and coffered ceilings give it a balance of traditionally formal and casual influences.
The common living spaces are largely open-concept. The dining area, breakfast nook, and kitchen are separated by a floor-to-ceiling storage island containing the wine room. The kitchen features white marble countertops and a spacious center island.
Light fixtures are pendant/industrial, Spanish colonial, and modern recessed, and the combination helps to give the home a postmodern sheen. There are five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms throughout the 3,900-square-foot home.
The indoor-outdoor family room features a brick fireplace, and is one of the home’s nicer features. Outside, a dedicated patio with an additional fireplace awaits, with a guesthouse filling out the property.
