Music mogul Russel Simmons has accepted a quick-sale offer on Los Angeles-area home. Simmons let the home go for $8.125 million. The Sunset Strip home was only on the market for a month before it found its new owner.
The hip-hop icon did make a significant return on his investment; he paid $5.8775 million for the home about five years ago. Now, the 1930s-built, 6,085-square-foot Spanish-style villa is in new hands.
The interiors are atmospheric. Dark wood floors contrast with white walls and carved wooden accents for a subdued but stylish look. The living room features wood-beamed ceilings, walls of French doors, and a cozy fireplace. The home also contains a wine cellar and a cigar room.
The exterior packs in a great deal of entertainment potential, and features a dining terrace with a built-in grill, the covered lounge with Southwest-style fireplace, the outdoor cinema with a screen, a separate pavilion, and a swimming pool. There are private guest quarters on the property.
