Rock star and American Idol alum Adam Lambert just hit a high note with the purchase of a Los Angeles-area home. Lambert picked up the place for $6.5 million, and scored quite the deal considering the expansive residence was originally listed for $7.888 million.
Built new just last year, the 5,028-square-foot home is set above the Sunset Strip and holds five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The exterior is boxy, with a mix of rectangular-shaped windows and black trim on white.
Within, the three-story house works in few familiar, 1960’s design cue, most notably an in-wall fireplace, and a floating, glass enclosed staircase. The living areas features an open-concept L-shaped floor plan, and a full wall of retractable glass sliders that open the living room to the spacious backyard. The residence is perfect for entertaining with tall ceilings, a high-end kitchen with an island, and plenty of areas to socialize.
Elements like a high-tech movie theater, and several indoor and outdoor living areas guarantee guests will lounge in comfort. The backyard features a spacious faux-lawn with a built-in barbecue, a lounge deck, and an infinity swimming pool and spa.
