When German automaker Audi shared its pricing list for its upcoming 2019 Audi A7 this month, it revealed a nice surprise for potential buyers: the new vehicle is considerably more affordable than expected.
Customers who previously would have been priced out of the beautiful A7 Sportback will be happy to hear that the Premium base model is available starting at $68,000, and the price should help lure fence-sitters who are also eyeing the competition.
The new 2019s boasts a revised body design that doesn’t toy much with the slick, appealing fastback look, but beefs up the car with a little height. Even better, all models come with the brand’s 48-volt vehicle electrical system. This means each new Audi A7 is a Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle that utilizes the car’s alternator to start the engine. The special setup also includes a special belt-alternator-starter (BAS) to aid in acceleration at key moments for greater efficiency.
In addition to Audi’s integration of hybrid technology, the A7 is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine making 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The car can make a zero-to-60 mph leap in just 5.2 seconds.
Customers interested in moving up a step can purchase the Premium Plus model with prices starting at $72,400. Finally, the top-of-the-line Prestige model starts at $76,300.
