Blockbuster screenwriter Christopher Markus recently shelled out $6 million for a Los Angeles-area home.
Now, he’s completed his project of finding a new home with the purchase of this English manor-style located in L.A.’s Hancock Park neighborhood.
The 5,614-square-foot residence dates to the 1920’s, and contains five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Modern windows are glaringly contemporary, but otherwise the common living areas and bedrooms look quite original. The dark hardwood floors throughout might have given the home a brooding Baskervilles atmosphere, but a massive dose of white tones compensates. The kitchen and dayroom is especially ethereal, with all-white cabinetry and white marble countertops.
The master suite features a reading nook, a fireplace, a moderately sized bathroom, and two walk-in closets. Beyond the lush green lawn in the backyard is a stone terrace, a pool house, a swimming pool, and a spa.
Markus is best known for co-writing “Avengers: Infinity War” and three of the “Captain America” movies.
