Writer and TV show co-creator Robert Kirkman is looking to move on from his Los Angeles-area home. The house is on the market, and tagged at $3.95 million.

Kirkman—who is best known as a comic book writer and co-creator of “The Walking Dead”—purchased his Cheviot Hills home for just under $2.5 million about seven years ago. If all goes well, he’s in store for a decent return on his investment.

The Traditional home stretches to 4,187 square feet and holds five bedrooms and 5.25 bathrooms. It dates to the 1960’s, but updates have left it with a neutral color palette and glossy hardwood floors. The main living area is a large combination living and dining room with a brick fireplace.

The kitchen is very warm, with cherry wood cabinets, Caesarstone counters, and an eat-in center island. Beyond the main home is a separate structure holding a home theater and gym. The property exterior features a grill, built-in seating, and a swimming pool.

In addition to his work on “The Walking Dead,” Kirkman has written a number of other comics, including “Outcast” and “Invincible.”
