Retired MLB All-Star Jermaine Dye recently sold his San Diego home for $4.1 million.
Dye paid $3.75 million for the home about three years ago. The Tuscan-style property is heavily stylized, with an interior living space that is very warm, and an exterior living space that is very engineered. The villa spans 6,655 square feet, and is located on a three-quarter-acre lot.
Located in the Santaluz Golf Course community, the house welcomes visitors via a spacious front courtyard complete with plants, seating, and a center fountain. Inside, there are five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, in addition to a series of entertainment and recreation spaces that includes a home theater and a sports bar.
The interior uses timber, beige tile, and heavy curtains for accents, but the lush design style keeps things from becoming weighty. Standout spaces include the lounge, which opens onto a covered porch via sliding glass doors, and the loggia that extends to the pool and patio.
A putting green, two outdoor fireplaces, and a pool and spa with an ornate five-fountain feature fill out the property.
Just last year, two-time MLB All-Star and World Series Champion Dye moved on from another San Diego-area home. He sold that property for $2.85 million.
