Academy Award-winning producer and screenwriter Bobby Moresco recently moved on from his Los Angeles-area home for $1.75 million. The selling figure was just slightly above the asking price.
The cottage-style Traditional in Toluca Lake was built in 1942 and stretches to 2,641 square feet. Moresco paid $1.095 million for the charming five-bedroom about eleven years ago; it has since been updated with two master suites and several modern features.
The open-concept kitchen and living room features a modern farmhouse style with crown molding, wide-plank wood floors, and a fireplace with step hearth. The kitchen is somewhat larger than the living room, making it the essential space in the common living area; it boasts granite countertops, a large center island, and a collection of high-end appliances.
The dining room follows the kitchen in the progression of things, and this one is accented with a pitched ceiling and a brick fireplace. The exterior features a wet bar and pool and sunlounge; materials on prominent displace include stacked stone, tile, and lots and lots of brick. A one-bedroom guesthouse fills out the property.
Moresco earned an Oscar for co-writing “Crash”; his more recent credits include screenwriting and directing the feature films “Bent.”
