Sports commentator and retired NFL player Osi Umenyiora recently listed his Atlanta, Georgia, home for $2.3 million.
The expansive six-bedroom, eight full-bath mansion was built in 1987. The former New York Giants defensive end purchased the residence for $2 million in 2006. The property has been on and off the market since 2007, with the asking price topping out at $2.8 million.
The mansion boasts four stories, and takes inspiration from classic English manor homes. Visitors are welcomed into a double-height grand foyer; the enlightened space boasts a wall of windows, a curving grand staircase, and an extravagant crystal chandelier.
Further inside, the home features grand living spaces, marble floors, and large fireplaces. Additional amenities include a wine cellar, a home theater, a sauna, and a gym. There is also a swimming pool and spa on the back terrace. The home recently benefited from a fairly comprehensive series of updates, evident in the kitchen and baths, and in the contemporary accent materials.
Umenyiora, a two-time Super Bowl champion, is married to former Miss Universe, Leila Lopes.
