“The Big Bang Theory” actor Jim Parsons recently listed this Los Angeles-area architectural gem for $8.95 million.
Parsons, who is known for playing brainiac Sheldon Cooper on the hit CBS sitcom, paid $6.375 million for the Los Feliz Home in 2014. Interestingly, this residence has a history of celebrity owners, including Tim Curry, Noah Wylie, and, more recently, Robert Pattinson.
But, it’s easy to see why it draws the creative eye. Set on a private 1.45-acre lot, the 4,062-square-foot Spanish Colonial revival was designed by renowned architect Stiles O. Clements in the 1920s. Complete with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, the house boasts a number of period accents, including checkerboard marble floors, French doors, and stone fireplaces.
The expansive living room features a soaring exposed beamed ceiling, and a retractable screen for watching movies. An antler-adorned formal dining room, an additional living room, and a card room are evocative of a bygone age.
The exterior living area includes a large terrace, lush gardens, koi pond, outdoor fireplace, and swimming pool.
In addition to playing Sheldon on “The Big Bang Theory,” Parsons also serves as the narrator for the show’s spin-off, “Young Sheldon.”
