The Los Angeles-area house used for exterior shots in the seminal 70’s tempest-in-a-teacup weekly “The Brady Bunch” is now available to purchase for $1.885 million.

The iconic home of one of America’s favorite fictional families is located in the Colfax Meadows neighborhood of Studio City. Even though only exterior scenes were shot at the Traditional-style residence, it still recalls feelings of nostalgia for those of us who remember Jan’s exclamation, “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia.” No matter how hard we try to forget.

The interior is likely unfamiliar since interior shots were actually captured in studio. Built in 1973, the home stretches to about 2,500 square feet and holds two bedrooms and three bathrooms. Outside, the home’s facade is almost exactly the same as when it was filmed, but the split-level’s interior has been updated a bit.

But not too much. The home’s quaint period vibe remains largely untouched, and gives it a unique and nifty context. A living room with wood-paneled walls, a rock-wall fireplace, and a built-in bar all help with the time-capsule effect. There are also a number of original vintage accents, from window treatments to floral wallpaper. And, a cool-looking home-wide music system with FM dial that gives the impression that Casey Kasem still haunts the airwaves.

Additional entertaining spaces include a recreation room and a family room located downstairs. The current owners are hoping to find a buyer who is interested in keeping the home intact, since many local residences have been torn down and rebuilt.
