BMW recently unveiled its M Performance Parts Concept for the M2 at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. In doing so, they provided the performance-hungry GFS crowd with a sight that always satisfies: a BMW M series in full dress.
To be sure, BMW’s M2 is already an impressive sports sedan with sleek and luxurious styling. But the Performance Parts take on the car introduces a number of changes that take the vehicle to an all new level.
The concept starts off with a much lighter build; the automaker was able to shave more than 132 pounds off the standard M2. In addition to boasting a more aerodynamic build, the special concept features a number of exclusive concept additions that aren’t available to customers just yet.
Drivers will likely be drawn to the noticeable carbon fiber additions and accents, which include a clear carbon-fiber finish roof and carbon-fiber seats inside. The gold accents of the exterior continue into the cabin, and the bits of extroverted flash blend well with the suede-like Alcantara to merge dollar-conscious and sporty.
Other important additions include 19-inch M Performance wheels, a special carbon-fiber rear diffuser and side panels, and an all-new M Performance suspension for better handling.
Interested drivers should keep an eye out for the introduction of the concept’s special materials in the next several months, as they will be available as options for other models.
