TV writers and producers David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik have relisted their Los Angeles penthouse for $29.9 million.
The creatives who are known for developing Showtime’s “Episodes” paid $11.05 million for the luxe penthouse about eight years ago. They first listed the Century City unit about two years ago for $29.9 million but were unable to find the right buyer. Their conviction regarding its valuation has not diminished, however.
Beautifully decorated with lavish Art Deco accents, the penthouse is a modern ode to 1920’s and ’30s styling. In addition to classic features like rosewood paneling, Belgian black marble floors, and plenty of expansive windows, the home features incredible details like original glass panels from the SS Normandie liner. Buyers with a keen eye for design will also notice that the 5,320-square-foot penthouse is decorated with alabaster and bronze sconces from French artist Albert Cheuret.
The unit is perfect for another couple, with two bedrooms and three bathrooms giving it a dual-suite feel. The home’s living areas include a formal dining room, library, and living room with fireplace. The unit opens to an expansive 600-square-foot terrace offering incredible views of the city.
Crane is a co-creator of “Friends” and “Joey,” while Klarik has credits on “Mad About You” and “Half & Half.”
