Following his recent purchase of two linked L.A.-area architectural gems, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Michael Peter Balzary has listed his house in Los Feliz for $3 million.

Balzary—better known by his stage name, Flea—and his wife Frankie Rayder have owned the property for about four years. They paid $2.47 million for the residence in 2014, so if they get what they’re asking for, they’re set to make a return on their investment.

The outgoing house is a 3,500-square-foot traditional. Set on a quarter-acre, the five-bedroom home was built in 1939, and features a bright purple front door that’s ebulliently extroverted. Inside, several formal spaces allow for plenty of room to entertain friends and family.

The gourmet kitchen is bright, and is the beneficiary of a recent update; it opens to a charming breakfast nook. Beyond the adjacent French doors, there is an outdoor grill space under a covered patio and a lap pool with a spa. The house contains a separate guest suite on the bottom floor.
