Colorado Rockies right fielder Carlos González made a great play with the sale of his Florida home for $3.4 million.
Set right on Lake Tibet in Windermere, the Orlando-area house stretches to 7,200 square feet, with five bedrooms and six bathrooms throughout. The 2012-built residence features a contemporary take on Mediterranean styling across a number of expansive living spaces; what has come to be called the ‘Florida Mediterranean’ style.
The home’s interiors are muted and moody, with plentiful dark tones that keep mainly to the warm side of the spectrum: browns and beiges. Floors are stone and hardwood, with differing patterns giving the house a bit of texture.
The home’s exterior living areas sell it best, though, and include an outdoor living room with a fireplace, a fully enclosed patio with a summer kitchen, and a large stone sunlounge and pool/spa complex. The property includes a private dock and cabana.
Three-time All-Star González recently signed a one-year contract with the Rockies for $8 million.
