Retired NBA star Shawn Kemp has listed his Seattle area estate for $3.7 million.
Kemp, who was a member of the now-extinct SuperSonics, picked up the lush Washington State property for $2.4 million in 2003. Set on five acres, the Webster Lake mansion stretches to 13,300 square feet with five bedrooms and 5.5 baths.
Kemp’s home may be in need of a modern update, but the existing floor plan impresses with a two-story living room accented with a wet bar and a fireplace. Standout spaces include the with its sunny breakfast nook, and the formal wood-paneled dining room, ideal for hosting friends and family.
The home’s entertainment potential is considerable, with a great room, family room, library, and theater all in the layout. And a few of the details are top-flight: witness the granite-capped cherry wet bar, and the hardwood floor inlay. The lot is filled out in grand style, with a pair of patios, a sports court, and a swimming pool with a spa.
The six-time All-Star ended his eight-season tenure with the SuperSonics in 1997, and moved on to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
