Audi‘s popular A4 sedan just received an update for the 2019 fleet.
The luxury German automaker is offering a glimpse of its European 2019 A4, and although U.S. specs will differ a bit, American drivers have plenty to get excited about. For example, the 2019 update includes a number of slight adjustments to the A4’s body: updated front and rear fascias, a new grille, and new 19-inch wheels. Overall, the look is much improved over the outgoing model.
Nothing was changed under the hood, but Audi shouldn’t have had to worry with this transition. The A4’s powerplant is a fuel-sipping 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Standard A4s produce 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, but the more fuel-efficient A4 Ultra tones things down a bit with 190 hp and 235 lb-ft.
One of the most exciting things to look for in the 2019 update is the optional Competition package. A4 drivers who opt for this package will enjoy a number of uniquely flashy features like Turbo Blue paint, LED headlights, red brake calipers, Audi Sport 19-inch wheels, and an updated interior look with black leather seats.
U.S. drivers can still expect to choose between new versions of the sedan and Allroad wagon styles, with the Allroad featuring a crossover/SUV-style body.
Details about pricing and availability should be coming soon for U.S. drivers.
