Seagram gin heir and CEO of BHB Holdings Matthew Bronfman has listed his New York City penthouse for $12.5 million. The glassy postmodern home features contemporary and industrial design cues, with a dash of rustic and a bit of deco influence.
The unit is in 400 Park Avenue South, a soaring skyscraper designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc and completed a little less than three years ago. The 3,592-square-foot penthouse is the perfect size with four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
Aside from the building’s incredible design, the apartment itself wows with 11-foot ceilings, and walls and walls of glass that favor the incredible views. The unit features a minimalist aesthetic with white walls and light hardwood floors, but finds its most compelling definition in the immediacy of the cityscape.
The living spaces are open and loft-like. The kitchen is rather small, but there is a dedicated dining space with a buffet bar area.
The future resident will also enjoy access to the fitness center, spa, golf simulator, screening room, and swimming pool with a Jacuzzi. Bronfman and his wife Melanie paid $10.182 million for the unit roughly 2.5 years ago, but have decided to move closer to their son’s Upper East Side school.
