HGTV star Christina El Moussa is cementing her newfound independence with the purchase of a Newport Beach home for $4.1 million.

The “Flip or Flop” costar boasts some major design chops, and will likely be applying her expertise to her new digs… although they don’t seem to need too much improvement to us, the vision of the designer frequently tells a different tale.

Although the four-bedroom, four-bath contemporary residence of 4,870 square feet did recently undergo a major remodel. Now modern, with a “coastal farmhouse” vibe, the home is quite the upgrade from the luxurious but much more affordable Yorba Linda family home El Moussa shared with her ex-husband Tarek.

One of the standout features is the massive kitchen island covered with a marble countertop. Although quite large, the island fits in with the bright and airy open-concept floor plan featuring soaring beamed ceilings, light hardwood floors, and a wall of glass sliders.

Following her high-profile divorce from her co-star Tarek, Christina recently received her own show on HGTV, “Christina on the Coast.”
