‘The Hills’ star Kristin Cavallari and her husband, former Chicago Bears player Jay Cutler, listed their home on the bucolic outskirts of Music City this week. The couple is asking $7.9 million for the home. They’ve owned it since the first month of 2012, when they bought it for $5.3 million, according to public records.
The home is a villa-style that voice French and Spanish Mediterranean design cues in its architecture. It was constructed about ten year ago.
Within, the home is expansive; interior living space measures nearly 20,000 square feet—19,983, to be exact—with seven bedrooms and ten baths throughout. It’s rustic in execution, with plentiful stone accents and raw timber to drive home the point; lots of built-ins too, giving it a cottagey appeal. The library is especially charming, with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a balance of cool, moody color and warm wood.
Other standout spaces include the kitchen; the built-ins there may be a little more constrictive than cozy, but the butcher-block counters are lovely, and the tile backsplash over the stove is pleasantly artisanal. The master suite is massive, and features a bath with an alcove soaking tub, and a private sitting room. The stone-rich downstairs leisure space with wet bar and theater should also help sell this home.
The over 8.5 acre lot is a big selling point with this home, though; the hillside residence is nestled in forest, and features patios, terraces, a screened porch, and tiered landscaping.
Ms. Cavallari’s latest television series is a talk show, ‘Very Cavallari’; Cutler’s brief post-retirement stint with the Dolphins ended last year.
