Iconic country star Kenny Rogers has moved on from his Atlanta home for $2.4 million.
The Grammy-winning musician paid $1.5 million for the 1.5-acre property back in 2012, and first listed the home just two years later with a rather optimistic asking price of $4.8 million.
Spanning 13,000 square feet, the Mediterranean-inspired mansion holds six bedrooms in addition to eight full and four half baths. Visitors are welcomed via grand wrought-iron gates to a sprawling double-height foyer complete with two staircases. The house is packed with details; it features a dramatically hipped roof, a great deal of warmth, 10 fireplaces, and floors in oak, marble, and tile.
Standout spaces include an extravagant kitchen, a great room with a double-height ceiling, and a solarium living area. Expansive entertaining spaces like formal living and dining rooms are embellished with opulent accents and walls of windows. The fun continues in the movie theater and game room complete with a bar.
The grounds are just as impressive as the home itself and also lend to entertaining. Terraces look over the manicured lawn and lush, semi-tropical landscaping, and recreational amenities include a sports court, tennis court, and large swimming pool. There is a separate one-bed, one-bath apartment located above the garage.
Rogers—who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013—has owned a number of high-end properties, including a Bel-Air estate which sold for $46 million in 2015.
