One new L.A.-area real-estate listing this week might just set a new sales record. The property is offered with a $135-million price tag.
Known as the Wallingford estate, the Beverly Hills mega-mansion is a stunner. If it sells for its asking price, it will be logged as the most expensive home sale in Los Angeles County to date.
Recently rebuilt, the massive residence is set on 5 acres; it has been expanded to 38,000 square feet, and contains twelve bedrooms and 24 baths. It’s clear we’re discussing a truly massive home when the penthouse master suite alone stretches to 5,000 square feet.
Inside, the home features a contemporary take on classic styling and features high-end materials, soaring ceilings, and plenty of windows. A number of high-end amenities stand out, and a boxing ring, a cardio gym, a sports court, and a special sports bar and lounge top the list.
The backyard features lush landscaping, and the largest zero-edge swimming pool in the area. A two-bedroom guardhouse, a caretaker home, and enough space to park more than 80 cars round out a cursory look at this grandiose property.
L.A. developer Gala Asher owns the Beverly Hills home; he paid $22 million for the property in 2016, and immediately embarked of a complete rebuild, demolishing the existing French chateau.
The current record-holding L.A. county home sale price was set this spring, when a contemporary-style compound in Malibu sold for around $110 million.
