British automaker Aston Martin‘s Advanced Operations division recently debuted its new supercar, the Rapide AMR.
Inspired by the track-ready version from the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the road-legal iteration makes a suitably business-minded impression. Aston Martin emphasized sporty styling in the build; the AMR’s sleek vented carbon fiber hood gives it a distinctly different look from the Rapide S. Other additions include new sills, a decklid, a front splitter, and a rear diffuser.
For U.S. customers, Aston Martin’s four-door Rapide provides plenty of power thanks to a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 580 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. UK and EU drivers will have access to a slightly souped-up V12 making 595 hp. Thrill-seeking drivers can expect a speedy leap from zero to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. The Rapide AMR maxes out at 205 mph.
The Aston Martin Rapide AMR starts at $240,000. Buyers can opt for one of three design themes, including Standard, Silhouette, and Signature.
The variant is slated to be retired in 2020.
