Actress Rooney Mara is moving on from her Los Feliz home for $3.575 million.
The Oscar-nominated actress earned $125,000 over her original ask for the Los Angeles-area modern-style. The 1960s-built Mid-Century Modern home has a classic look and feel, has been sensitively revised, and is set on a hillside with incredible views of L.A.; it’s possible that a bidding skirmish occurred.
Mara’s former two-bedroom, two-bath residence features a clean aesthetic with bright white walls, a massive central fireplace, walls of glass doors and windows, and clerestory windows. All the glass allows for the unusually fine city views, and plenty of natural light.
All that light flows freely through the completely open combination living room, dining room, and kitchen. The modern look continues from the Midcentury cabinetry in the kitchen to the exterior, and the wraparound patio.
Mara received Academy Award nominations for her roles in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and “Carol.” She returns to the big screen later this year as the titular character in “Mary Magdalene”; the film also stars Joaquin Phoenix.
