Swiss watchmaker Hublot has introduced its new timepiece, the Hublot Unico Teak Italia Independent.

Designed in collaboration with Italia Independent, the watch was developed in a very limited run. The new watch boasts a bold and colorful design carried off with a variety of textile materials. The effect is collage-like, and strikingly unusual.

The timepiece design also uses Kevlar, and employs a series yachting cues in honor of designer and former Fiat CEO Lapo Elkann’s love for the sport; there are several classic yachts represented in the watch. Accents include a teak bezel, orange dial indexes, and a special Kevlar/rubber strap. The matching Italia Independent sunglasses feature the same teak accenting.

The Hublot Unico Teak Italia Independent is the third watch to emerge from the partnership of Italia Independent and Hublot. The limited-edition timepiece comes in a teak case.
