Retired professional baseball player Matt Cain hit a home run this spring. The slugger sold two properties in two states, seeing a total of $9.9 million in return.

Cain sold his expansive two-acre Arizona estate for $4.5 million in April. The residence spans over 11,000 square feet, with holds six bedrooms and 6.5 baths throughout. The house is ideal for entertaining, and features a large great room with a beamed ceiling, a stately dining room with parquet floors, and an open-concept kitchen and living room. Amenities continue outside: the property includes a koi pond and a running stream, as well as a putting green and swimming pool.

The former Giants player’s former San Francisco home is located in the East Bay area. It sold more recently, for $5.425 million. Located in the high-end Contra Costa County area, the 6,750-square-foot traditional features a mixture of classic features and modern accents. Traditional design elements include a gable-and-valley roof and cedar shake siding. Inside, an updated gourmet kitchen holds plenty of space for hosting, while the exterior features include another putting green, a sports court, an outdoor living room, and a swimming pool.
