Luxury automaker Aston Martin is saying goodbye to the Vantage, but they’re sending it out in style with an ultra-limited edition variant, the V600 V12.
As the name indicates, the special model gets a V12 engine; horsepower is rated at 600 horsepower.
For Aston, the swan-song could very well extend to a production V12 engine. The replacement model for 2019 will use an efficient AMG-sourced V8.
Only 14 of the special Aston Martin V12 V600s will take to the road, and none will be delivered by the company to U.S. shores. Of the fourteen, half will be produced as coupes, and half as convertibles.
The V12 V600 looks a bit different, too; the mesh insert grille cites the Rapide AMR, there is a new hood bulge, and Aston gave it updated fenders. Other new components include custom quad exhaust and diffuser tips. The new V12 V600 is set up with a seven-speed manual transmission.
Pricing for the special-edition V600 has yet to be announced.
