Montreal-based aeronautics company Bombardier will begin delivering its long-anticipated top-range business jet, the Global 7000, later this year.
The 7000 is the world’s largest and longest-range jet. And, it seems that testing revealed that the plane’s range is longer than initially stated; last year, Bombardier specs stated 7,400 nautical miles. But long-distance tests have revised the figure to 7,700 nm.
This means travelers could—under ideal conditions—take the Global 7000 from New York to Hong Kong without stopping. Bombardier stands out as the only business jet currently able to make such impressive nonstop long-distance flights.
The 7000 is also the largest of its kind ever crafted. The cabin stretches to 54 feet and seven inches in length, not including the baggage compartment. Cabin layouts are entirely customizable. Bombardier’s layout features four living spaces, including a master suite with shower. A full galley, dining room for six, and entertainment suite are among the amenities. Hardwood flooring and oversize windows give the spaces warmth and openness.
Bombardier is currently taking orders for the Global 7000. $73 million.
