Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Re-List Full-Floor Manhattan Apartment for $14M

Pigskin-slinger Tom Brady and his wife, model Gisele Bündchen, recently relisted their Flatiron high-rise apartment, with a sizeable chop to the asking price. The couple has been itching to sell their unit in One Madison Tower for over a year and a half, having listed it initially in the fall of 2016 with an ask of $17.3 million. A judicious price cut of over $3 million brings the current listing price down to $13.95 million.

That’s a substantial reduction that could very well stir the right fence-sitter into commitment. The unit is a slightly more than 3,300 square-foot apartment with three bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Brady and Bündchen picked it up in early 2014, for $11.7 million.

Architect Peter Marino redesigned the space for the couple, and the ‘accidental box’ design of the walls of windows in the unit echo Marino’s recent high-rise residential building project in Chelsea, The Getty. The unit is otherwise fairly staid, taking inspiration from loft residences, with support columns, many a strident line, and some textural flourishes in wood grain and burnished metal. It’s an interesting approach, but a quiet one.

Views from the unit are lovely. The Hudson may be seen in the distance, presenting an arresting survey of Manhattan.

The couple also own at least one unit in 70 Vestry; last spring, they traded up in that building, picking up a $30 million unit after buying a $20 million unit on a lower floor about a year before.
