Fitness guru Rachel Mumford of the Barry’s Bootcamp fitness brand recently reduced the ask on her rustic Malibu home down to $9.495 million.
Mumford cut her asking price by $500,000 to help spur interest. The Los Angeles-area French farmhouse-style residence is located in Point Dume, and was built in the 1950s. The home has a very defined sense of style, with interiors expressed with stone, raw timber, plaster walls, soft arches, and a nook-and-cranny sensibility. The house boasts seven bedrooms and 6.25 baths across 5,800 square feet.
Potential buyers will certainly be drawn to the living room with its vaulted, reclaimed wood ceilings, as well as the master suite, which is accented with sliding barn doors and wood accents. Pocket doors open the interior space to a sprawling backyard complete with deck, pool, and spa.
Mumford, who co-founded Barry’s Bootcamp with Barry Jay in 1998, purchased the property for $7.45 million three years ago. The fitness empire now has locations across the globe, and boasts a number of celebrity members, including Mandy Moore and David Beckham.
