Investor and hospitality guru Sam Nazarian has put his Los Angeles-area home on the market for $8.995 million.
Nazarian, who founded SBE Entertaining Group with its number of L.A. nightclubs, had the Beverly Hills Post Office-area home designed to his taste, giving it a stylish postmodern veneer that swings wildly between rock-and-roll operatic and detached early 21st-century cool.
The residence’s exterior boasts a Mediterranean-style influence modified by the boxiness and glassiness of modern home designs. It features a dramatic second-story entry, a great deal of marble and wrought iron, ornamental Corinthian columns, inlaid hardwood floors, and light fixtures that voice Victorian and contemporary styles.
The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home is clearly designed with entertaining in mind. In addition to the chic living room with wet bar, guests will enjoy lounging outside near the pool and spa while taking in views of the Pacific Ocean beyond. The redwood deck is particularly appealing; but, then, a redwood deck always looks good.
After a long day of sunning on the back deck or taking a dip in the pool, the owner can retire to his or her sanctuary: a master suite complete with its own fireplace and private terrace.
