Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac just let go of his Brentwood, California, property for $19 million.
The singer/songwriter/guitarist’s newly built investment home was originally listed for $22.5 million last June, before finding the right buyer at a slightly lower price this month. Buckingham picked up the Los Angeles-area property for $5.8 million five years ago, but the home wasn’t finished until last year.
Spanning three stories and more than 11,000 square feet, the Georgian style is light, bright, and, as it reconciles the historic and contemporary, fairly sophisticated in design sensibility. Wood-shingle siding and dormer windows on the outside meet with classic yet contemporary styling inside.
White walls throughout the shared living spaces add to the modern aesthetic while showing off the floods of natural light coming in from the windows and glass sliders. There are six bedrooms, 10 baths, dual kitchens, a screening room, and a library. The back of the home features a dramatic pergola.
The property exterior is just as comprehensively classic, with a lush lawn, an al-fresco dining space, a fire feature, a swimming pool, and an outdoor shower. A private guesthouse is situated in the typical location: opposite the pool.
