“Glee” actress Jayma Mays and husband, fellow actor Adam Campbell, recently sold their Los Angeles-area home for $3.595 million.
Considering the historic Los Feliz residence sold for $800,000 more than the ask, it’s safe to say the pair made good on their investment. Glee, indeed.
Looking at the 1925-built home, though, it comes as no surprise that a bidding war for the property ensued after it had been on the market for only a short period. New York-based Jacobschang Architecture was responsible for the recent remodel and expansion, which left the home with a new identity: Eastern-inflected boho contemporary. Highlights of the renovation include the expanded open-concept main living space, and the expansion of indoor-outdoor spaces: new decks, balconies, and courtyard give the home and its landscape better interplay, highlighting the harmonious Japanese influence.
The master suite is new as well, and may only be accessed via a special bridge/walkway; the conduit also allows access to the rooftop deck. Residents can find a place to relax among any of the other three bedrooms, or outside near the saltwater swimming pool.
In addition to her role as Emma Pillsbury on “Glee,” Mays has appeared in “The Millers,” “Ugly Betty,” and “Trial & Error.” Campell is currently appearing in Tina Fey’s new sitcom “Great News”; her film credits include roles in “Epic Movie” and “Wolves at the Door.”
