After only sixteen months of ownership, Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson have listed a home in Beverly Hills. The couple picked up the 3 bed, 3.5 bath home in late November of 2016, paying a shadow less than $4 million; this week they listed it with an asking price of $4.5 million.
The late modern home dates to the mid 1960’s, and voices more cold war anxiety than some of the era; it looks a little hunkered down, with the prominent roof overhangs giving it a ponderous quality. In response, the entrance hall is relieved with a series of skylights, making the first impression one of liberated space.
Within? Just as textbook late modern. Very pale plank oak floors and concrete pattern wallpaper represent the textures evident, otherwise there’s a lot of light, a continual reinforcement of the almighty modern boxiness, and plenty of interior/exterior flow via sliding glass walls. The extra-wide plank floors are quite beautiful, and tend to distinguish the interiors by giving them complexity.
The property exterior extends to a little less than half an acre, and manages to incorporate the Beverly Hills necessities of privacy, well-tended green, and pool/spa and sunlounge. The views aren’t extraordinary, but the neighborhood is.
Jovovich and Anderson married in 2009. Jovovich stars in the upcoming ‘Hellboy’ jumpstart, across from Ian McShane; Anderson will be calling the shots on the upcoming ‘Monster Hunter’ film shoot.
