Ben Affleck recently splurged springtime-style on a new home in Pacific Palisades; this week, the actor dropped a cool $19.25 million to place a trophy home under contract.
The brand-new property is a 2017 build, and it’s designed for a youthful lifestyle. There are only three bedrooms across nearly 13,500 square feet, but nine baths, which tells you two things are likely: the master suite is going to be substantial, and a great deal of the space will be dedicated to entertaining.
The master suite is substantial. It features a vaulted ceiling, a large marble-floored bath, a private study/sitting room with built-ins, and a private terrace overlooking the rear of the property. The other bedrooms are given short shrift.
On the first floor, entertaining and recreating needs are covered very well. A home theater with tiered seating, a wet bar, a family room currently sporting a billiards table, a wine and tasting room, and a fitness and dance studio are all incorporated into the generous floor plan.
The home is more or less a modern traditional, presenting a fairly staid whitewashed brick exterior, but revealing a somewhat more adventurous interior. The property is pretty expansive, and the sliding glass walls take advantage of the home’s landscape very well. The slightly more than half an acre lot is very private, and incorporates a large swath of lawn, a pool and sunlounge, and a pool house.
Affleck is set to star in ‘A Most Violent Year’ director J.C. Chandor’s next film, ‘Triple Frontier.’
