Actor Dennis Quaid has said goodbye to his home in Texas. Quaid accepted an offer of $3.5 million for the property on Lake Austin.

The Texas native had owned the 5,000-square-foot sprawler for several years. The house is situated in the guard-gated Marina Club neighborhood, and is a classic-meets-modern traditional with four bedrooms and 3.5 baths.

The interiors begin with a stylish foyer with tumbled stone tiles, with the layout quickly transitioning to the light and airy living room. The beamed-ceiling communal space is quite warm, featuring a carved stone fireplace and three glass doors leading to a terrace.

In addition to a beautiful kitchen with a center island and Craftsman-style cabinetry, the home offers a breakfast room, a separate dining room, and a library with extensive built-ins. The master suite features built-in bookshelves, a fireplace, and a private terrace offering views of Lake Austin and the Pennybacker Bridge.

Quaid, who is currently appearing in the Amazon original series “Fortitude,” will also hit the big screen later this year in the upcoming movies “Motivated Seller” and “The Pretenders.”
