Actors Michael Emerson and Carrie Preston recently put their West Hollywood home on the market for $1.7 million.
The award-winning pair’s Spanish Villa stretches to 1,908 square feet and holds three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Set in a tree-covered neighborhood, the 1923-built home boasts plenty of classic elements and even more character.
The Los Angeles-area home is surrounded by a lush garden and tropical foliage. It’s an extremely romantic home; the warmth of the brick-red exterior is enhanced by the softening effect of stucco, arches, and graceful lines.
The interiors are bright, fairly open considering the style and period, and generally rendered warm. Unique design elements like honey-colored hardwood floors, original Batchelder tile fireplace, striking tiled bath, and coved ceilings give the property a singular sense of self.
The exterior features a flagstone-paved, semi-enclosed dining terrace, an outdoor kitchen, and a large grassy yard dotted with mature flora.
Emerson earned Emmys for his roles on “Lost” and “The Practice.” Preston is a fellow Emmy-winner, having been recognized for her work on “The Good Wife” in 2013.
