Singer Zayn Malik has picked up a chic Lower Manhattan penthouse for just under $10.7 million.
Following his high-profile breakup with supermodel Gigi Hadid, the former One Direction bandmember set his sights on this luxurious New York City pad located in the Soho neighborhood. The 3,597-square-foot loft-style apartment definitely qualifies as a bachelor pad, with a number of luxurious amenities that include a 1,061-square-foot private roof terrace. Most appealing are the arched brick ceilings; a nice use of fundamental warmth.
Malik’s new digs are situated at the top of a restored 1877-built building; the residence holds four bedrooms and four baths. It features a minimalist and utilitarian aesthetic, with cast-iron columns, blonde hardwood floors, exposed ceiling beams, and expansive sash windows. The open-concept main living space is ideal for entertaining, and features a spacious kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances.
Finally, the master suite features his-and-hers closets, and a bath with a double-sink vanity, glass shower, and subway tile.
Malik’s 2016 Mind of Mine debut album, and its lead single, Pillowtalk, rocketed to number one on the US and UK charts. He was formerly a member of mega-popular boy band One Direction. The band’s first four albums debuted in the top spot on the Billboard charts. Their 2014 concert tour grossed $282 million—the highest ever by a vocal group.
