American rocker Sammy Hagar has sold his longtime Hawaii home for $3.1 million.
The rock icon’s clifftop retreat is located on Maui in the Haiku area and holds three bedrooms. The 2,247-square-foot main house boasts plenty of reasons to relax, and the one-bedroom guesthouse on the property invites company to the party.
The cottage-style home isn’t in a hurry as it rambles, which means it’s in fine fettle for Hawaii. The interiors are extremely warm, which only enhances the sylvan sanctuary feel of the property as a whole. Raw wood ceilings, beige stone floors, honey-toned cabinetry and lots of glass set the mood. Adding to the beachside aesthetic is an open-concept living room, solarium-style dayroom, a wet bar, and, of course, plentiful beach views.
The 10-acre property is decked out with palm and fruit trees, a 400-foot well, a tilapia pond, a Tiki bar, and a 1,500-square-foot pool and spa complex.
Hagar, known as the Red Rocker, hit it big when he became Van Halen’s lead singer in 1985. The Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer purchased the Hawaiian home 23 years ago.
