Filmmaker John Woo has placed his Pacific Palisades home on the market for $7.5 million.

Woo, the director of Hong Kong actioners ‘The Killer’ and ‘Hard Boiled,’ purchased the Los Angeles-area residence for $4 million back in 2004. The contemporary home spans 4,555 square feet and holds four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

Located on a little more than a third of an acre, the three-floor residence features an exterior that cites modern and traditional influences. The interiors are perhaps more compartmental than expected; standout spaces include a large formal living room accented with a fireplace and cathedral ceiling, a separate dining room with an ocean-view terrace, an office, a den, and an upgraded kitchen.

One of the home’s two master suites can be found on the main floor, and features a dedicated workout space and sliding doors leading to the gardens. The property also includes a large terrace, a pool and spa, a three-car garage, and a studio-style guesthouse with a fireplace and bathroom.

Woo is the co-founder and owner of Lion Rock Productions. The company produced Woo’s critically-acclaimed epic 2008/9 war film ‘Red Cliff.’
