Move over Mercedes E and BMW 5. The new 2019 Audi A6 has arrived.
Audi’s newest does carry a resemblance to its domestic competitors, but manages to carry its own identity overall; typical of Audis, it sports a lovely front end with a classic grille.
Like the A7 and A8, the new model stands out from the competition with several additions of high-tech elements making the driving experience easier than ever. One of the best new features is the addition of a 48-volt mild hybrid system that allows the vehicle to self-generate power and coast between 34 and 99 mph. Drivers will also be drawn to the vehicle’s new steering system, MMI infotainment setup, and the impressive semi-autonomous assistance systems.
Even though U.S.-market specifications have yet to be announced, the European version gives us a good idea of what we can expect. The A6 is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 gas (and diesel for U.K. buyers) engine producing 340 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
It looks eminently driveable. We should have details about a U.S. version soon.
