Enata introduced a sleek new ‘flying’ yacht at this year’s Dubai International Boat Show. They call it the FOILER, and it indicates the dramatic re-emergence of the hydrofoil.
FOILER’s retractable carbon fiber hydrofoils offer strength, and the design keeps the craft light enough to cruise at nearly five feet above the surface of the water.
This exciting yachting experience is enhanced by smooth and quiet adventuring thanks to FOILER’s advanced hull design that reduces turbulence even more, for remarkably stable seagoing travel. That means minimal seasickness—a godsend to small-vessel recreating.
The FOILER features a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system that pushes it to speeds up to 40 knots, very quick indeed. And the low-contact hydrofoil promises a 20-percent increase in fuel efficiency over similarly-equipped traditional speedboat designs.
Enata isn’t talking price just yet. But a look at the FOILER should give you an idea of what they’ll be asking. And besides, the photo-shoot salesmanship is a very entertaining blend of GQ and 007. Check it out below.
