Actor and musician Billy Bob Thornton has listed a residence in Malibu on the open market. Thornton is asking $2.3 million for the property, which is situated in a gated community and measures about 2,670 square feet.

Thornton purchased the residence a little more than a decade ago, for $2.35 million. The aggressive pricing should stimulate a quick sale.

The modern-style architecture features contemporary overtones. The exterior is defined by poured concrete, glass, and a smattering of Japanese influence.

Thornton’s turn as sociopath Ray in 1992’s hard-boiled ‘One False Move’ still packs a wallop. More recently, he played the lead in the upcoming adaptation of Amis’s ‘London Fields’; when the film will finally be released, though, remains a matter of rumor and surmise.
