Tommy Hilfiger Cuts Price on South Florida Designer Mansion, Asks $23.5M

Iconic fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger has reduced the ask on his somewhat extroverted South Florida mansion once again; the Golden Beach home is now available for $23.5 million. The seven bedrooms, twelve-bath property was originally listed for $27.5 million about a year ago.

The contemporary residence has been featured in numerous publications. A paean to pop culture, the home’s shifting forms attempt to reference as many post-psychedelia popular art touchstones as possible inside 15,000 square feet. L.A.-based interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard was behind the stylish, ’70s-inspired look, adding graphic prints and artwork from the likes of Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.

In addition to its quirky style, the manse includes a number of impressively individualistic spaces: a geometric black-and-white kitchen, a red home theater, and a bathroom swathed in banana wallpaper are highlights. The home’s interior identity as Hilfiger’s personal modern art homage won’t be for every taste. And, certain rooms may trigger flashbacks to the Fillmore East. But, for the buyer looking for an interior tour-de-force, it will be the trophy home of trophy homes.

The property includes some beautiful and inventive landscaping, an infinity pool, and 14,000 square feet of private ocean frontage.

The Hilfigers purchased the Florida home for $17.25 million back in 2013.
